Perfectly designed with your child in mind

Play, movement, and learning come together through music, imagination, and Melody Bear to create a joyful first dance experience. Children build confidence, coordination, creativity, and social skills while having fun, often without even realizing they're learning.

Melody Movement Early Learning is a children’s creative movement curriculum created by Jill Bridger, a Royal Academy of Dance teacher with more than 30 years of teaching experience. The curriculum introduces ballet, creative movement, and early dance concepts through natural actions such as walking, running, jumping, hopping, skipping, and galloping, while also reinforcing early learning skills like counting, colors, shapes, rhythm, and vocabulary.

At Verdi Academy of Dance, Melody Movement is taught by Veronica Edwards, RAD RTS. As a teacher trained specifically in age-appropriate ballet education, Veronica understands how young children learn and develop, creating classes that are engaging, encouraging, and developmentally appropriate.

To ensure every child receives the attention they need, each Melody Movement class is supported by two to three trained classroom assistants. This allows for more individualized guidance, a positive classroom environment, and plenty of encouragement as dancers build confidence and independence.

More than just a preschool dance class, Melody Movement lays the foundation for future ballet training while nurturing a lifelong love of movement, music, and learning.
