Candace Hayden

Instructor

Candace began dancing at Verdi Academy at eight years old, beginning with ballet and joining modern dance shortly after. She has performed in 20 recitals and has trained in Grade 1 through Advanced Foundation of the RAD curriculum.

Over the last 10 years, she has also developed a love of dancing in lyrical, contemporary, and jazz styles. During her sophomore and junior years of high school, she was part of the competition team at Verdi and won various awards at dance competitions and conventions in New Mexico and El Paso. These experiences have solidified her passion about the creative processes found in dancing and choreography.

Candace is now working towards becoming certified as a Progressing Ballet Technique instructor as she teaches PBT curriculum to the Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced I classes. Along with spending much of her time at the studio, Candace is also a Sophomore at New Mexico State University. She is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Art as she works towards a career as an art therapist.
