Play, movement and learning are woven together with music and Melody Bear

Your child will learn foundations of movement without even realizing it.  These foundations are taught by Veronica Edwards who is not only a dancer but is trained to TEACH dance in ways that are age appropriate.  This difference is important because she understands what is correct for young minds and young bodies.

Melody Movement was developed as a pre-school curriculum by a Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) teacher and is taught in conjunction with the RAD Dance to Your Own Tune program at Verdi Academy of Dance. It introduces children to dance and movement using natural actions such as running, walking, jumping, hopping, skipping, and galloping. At the same time, it incorporates fundamental learning skills including counting, color and shape recognition, and vocabulary development. The core of the system is imaginative movement, making learning enjoyable and fun.

More than just another children’s dance class, Melody Movement at Verdi Academy is the only class in the region taught by a certified RAD instructor, Veronica Edwards. Only RAD instructors are licensed to teach Melody Movement without additional extensive training, ensuring the highest quality of instruction. Parents can confidently watch their children have fun and develop foundational movement and learning skills through the viewing window during class!
